GT Zero Air Generators The GT Ultra Zero Air Generators produce dry and hydrocarbon/CO/NOx/SOx free air, using air from oil-free compressors, thus avoiding the need to use traditional bottles that are often complex to change.
The GT Ultra Zero Air Generators produce dry and hydrocarbon/CO/NOx/SOx free air, using air from oil-free compressors, thus avoiding the need to use traditional bottles that are often complex to change. The ergonomic, compact and silent design makes the GT series generators the ideal solution for zero air supply in the following analytical applications:
GT Ultra Zero Air generators use five steps to transform ambient air into analytical grade air. The external oil-free compressor (not included) delivers air through a high efficiency coalescent/particulate prefilter that traps any large particles that may damage the system. The prefilter has an automatic purge system, and traps oil, water and any other particles larger than 5 microns in size. Air is next passed into a dual column pressure swing adsorption air dryer to remove water vapor and carbon dioxide from the supply. While one of the PSA columns is active, the other is pressure-regenerating by back-purging with excess air. From the PSA dryer, air is channeled into a scrubber with activated carbon to reduce NOx and SOx levels to less than 1 ppm through an adsorption process. The NOx/SOx scrubbering activated carbon, contained in a cylinder, becomes saturated after one year of service and must be replaced. The air leaving the scrubber enters a high-temperature platinum catalyser, which through oxidation eliminates hydrocarbons and carbon monooxide down to < 0.1 ppm. A final high-grade filter is used to remove 99.99% of particulates greater than 0.5 microns in size.
The reduction of hydrocarbons, including methane, and carbon monoxide to < 0.1 ppm, as well as NOx to < 1 ppm, decreases the background noise level and gives the baseline much better stability, considerably increasing detector sensitivity and ensuring precise analytical results.
Just connect a suitable oil free compressor to almost immediately have air at the right grade. To save bench space, the unit can be easily installed on the lab wall. No more bottles in the lab and expensive pipelines for air distribution.
The unit only requires connection to a suitable oil free compressor and the mains: the investment can be paid back in less than a year.
