Sanitary Process Refractometer PR-43-AP

The unique and innovative Sanitary refractometer PR-43-AP was designed for sanitary applications in biotechnology, food & beverage and pharmaceutical industry. It consists of a stand-alone operating refractometer, with the optional graphical user interfaces. The refractometer has a temperature compensated measurement range of 0 to 100 Brix and provides an Ethernet or 4–20 mA output signal for real-time process control.

The PR-43-AP refractometer is designed to meet the needs of hygienic installations in large pipes, tanks, cookers, crystallizers and kettles and in higher temperatures up to 150°C. The PR-43-AP refractometer is installed in the pipe line or vessel through a Sanitary clamp, Varivent connection or through a APV MT4-valve flange. The refractometer can also be flush mounted in a cooker where the scraper touches the wall and where is a steam jacket. Optional user interfaces consist of a rugged multichannel industrial computer, or a compact light-weight computer. The user interface of the refractometer can be installed locally in the field or remotely in the control room.

The refractometer is factory calibrated and does not require any recalibration or regular maintenance. Furthermore, the calibration of each refractometer can be verified using standard refractive index liquids.
